Katawa Shoujo Podcast

So I'm getting Edward/Azunyan to do a stream for the entertainment of my friends and I, so if any of you have the chance, you should drop by!

We're gonna be streaming Gravity Falls (completely unrelated to KS, I know), which is a great show everyone should watch, so come on by!

Hey everyone, this is my first time writing on the cast blog so far, so I decided to would do a short introduction of myself while I'm wasting away at mandatory, government-enforced education bored at school. So here we go.

My name is Kevin, I'm sure you've heard a lot from me from the first three podcast episodes we have out so far. My waifu is Shizune (check out Episode 3 to listen to me defend myself against the angry Hanabros). 

...and that's all I have to say for myself at the current moment. I may do a Q&A if there is demand for it because I like answering questions. Unfortunately I won't be in a few episodes following 3 because my mouth had some issues, but I should be back to tango very soon.

So and friend of mine posted a link to our blog on the Katawa Shoujo Subreddit, and oh my god guys.

We got over 700 pageviews today, most of them coming from that post. That's more than twice the views this blog had gotten in the past few days it's been up. That's amazing. The guys over there we also kind enough to give some criticism about the blog layout to help improve it.

So, I just want to give a quick shout-out to everyone at Reddit who came to check us out. It means a lot to me and it helps this blog grow. Please pass the word on to any more of your friends who are a fan of Katawa Shoujo, and don't hesitate to leave on comment on this post about anything that can be improved. We are still looking for people who can write outro songs for the podcast, people to post on the blog, people that can help design a better layout, and anyone that wants to talk on the podcast. Well we got off some nice discussion about the CTU strike in Chicago and managed to get through our favorite characters without a total shitstorm...

I'd say a job well done.

Now to wait for Ben to get the actual podcast up...

So, I'll be busy weekend mornings to afternoons around 3:00 p.m cause work. Work is just a drag cause I got this one manager, but whatever. Just checking to see if the post works.

So, as you can see, the blog looks very different now. I downloaded a program called Artisteer to help me design this layout.

This was SUPPOSED to be a quick layout to make, but there were errors with the HTML coding that I needed to go in and fix, and since this was my first time using HTML, I had some issues. Even now the site isn't perfect. There are some adjustments to the size and positioning I still want to fix, as well as text color. But, this'll do for now.

So please look around and see if you encounter any problems, and tell me if you do. I may not be able to fix them with my limited knowledge, but I sure can try.

Alright Katawa Shoujo is of course the reason why we are all here. But anyone want to tell us the journey of why they started to play Katawa Shoujo?

       Even though we all play Katawa Shoujo, I feel we need to get to know each other more. Not all of us go to the same school so this Blog would be a great opportunity to share some thoughts about things


Lets have some fun and answer some questions !

Questions:

1. Favorite Anime and why?

2. Favorite Characters (Top 3 from anything anime, games etc etc)

3. Favorite Games

4. What games do you play daily (LoL, Dota, Online games that we can all play etc)

5. Thoughts on the Strike. (Provide some background info) And if you know if there would even be a strike.



I hope we all get along and have some fun together!

How goes it? This is just a quick test to see if I know what I'm doing. Hopefully so! I've got a FeedBurner all set up and integrated with the blog. I also made an account on OurMedia.org, where I should be able to upload the podcasts to Archive.org. I'm just doing this by ear, so hopefully it doesn't fall flat on its face!

We still need to:

1. Make a custom blog template (never done that before).
2. Make a podcast logo to be displayed on the iTunes feed.
3. SET UP the iTunes feed.
4. Oh yeah, RECORD SOMETHING.

We are planning on recording Monday if the CTU does go on strike, and talk about that and whatnot. It normally takes a few days for iTunes to approve a podcast feed on their store, so it probably won't go up the day we record. We'll arrange upload dates and the frequency of updates at a later date.

If there's anything I forgot to add to the to-do list, please let me know!
